The Silk Lab is led by Professor Fiorenzo Omenetto at Tufts University. The lab specializes on the interface of materials between technology and biology. Silk fibroin is commonly used as a biomaterial that can be used in soft and hard technology, optics, manufacturing, sensing, and implantable devices. The lab publishes research on material technology at the macro, micro, and nano scale.
